WEST HAVEN - Raymond A. Cyphers, 70, of 1 Campbell Avenue, died Friday, Oct. 20, 2006 at his residence. Born in Bridgeport on Feb. 8, 1936, he was the son of the late Raymond and Mary Ederly Cyphers. He was a graduate of Maloney High School and a member of First United Methodist Church. During the Korean War he was a member of the U.S. Air Force. He was employed in the medical records department at the Veterans Administration Hospital in West Haven. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, James A. and Kristen Cyphers of Meriden; a granddaughter, Tessa Cyphers of Wallingford; and a sister, Pamela Hanson of Meriden. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden.
