Ricardo Martinez, 82, loving husband of Rosaura Frias Martinez of Wilcox St, Meriden, Connecticut passed away April 11, 2013 in Meriden after a brief illness. He was born in Barahona, Dominican Republic January 24, 1931. The youngest son of the late Ricardo and Prudencia Felix Martinez, he had resided in Passaic, NJ 28 years, from 1965 until moving to Meriden in 1993. He was employed by New Opportunities of Greater Meriden before retirement and was a member of the American Society of Notaries. Beloved father of Kenneth R. (Iris) Martinez of Hardyston, NJ, Richard (Andrea) Martinez of Lutz, FL and the late Alexander L. Martinez; Grandfather of Kenneth, Jovanna and Richard Martinez Jr, Juraida Cruzado, Sabrina, Stephanie and Christopher R. Martinez; Great grandfather of Samara R. and Jordan R. Martinez and brother of Angelina and the late Rafael, Manuel, Consuelo and Estela Martinez. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from Beecher & Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave, Meriden, Connecticut Saturday morning, April 20 at 9:30. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rose of Lima Church at 10 am.
