MERIDEN - Richard G. Brandl, 65, husband of Arla Chase Brandl, died Monday, April 7, 2008 at MidState Medical Center. Born in Meriden on Nov. 3, 1942, he was the son of the late Searl and Bernice Reynolds Brandl. He had been employed as a lead installer at Alcheel-Lucent, was a member of the French Club and Masonic Lodge. He was in the U.S. Navy stationed on the USS Helleana. He was an avid golfer. Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Richie Brandl of Stamford; four stepdaughters, Anne Andrews and her husband, John of Meriden, Laura Longley and her husband, Donald of Middlefield, Joyce Larouche and her husband, John of Madison, Me and Janet Mickens of Meriden; eight grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Lorraine Gihez. Relatives and friends may call Thursday, April 10 from 5 - 7 p.m. at the Beecher and Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
