Richard Candela, 76, of Hamden, husband of the late Beverly Richitelli Candela, passed away on October 19, 2018. He was born in New Haven on January 2, 1942 to the late Anthony and Eva Lupoli Candela. He is survived by his loving daughter Rebecca Candela (Aaron Bacchi), brother Wayne Candela (Anna Marie), sister Donna Canestri (Caesar), and granddaughter Francesca Bacchi. After graduating from Notre Dame High School and then Quinnipiac College, Richard went on to work as an Accountant for Ernst & Ernst and then Bailey, Moore, Glayzer, Schaeffer & Proto for over 30 years. In his free time he enjoyed golfing, reading and puzzles. Above all else he adored spending time with his family, especially his beautiful baby granddaughter Francesca. Friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Wednesday October 24 at 10am in St. Mary Cemetery, Whitney Ave. Hamden.
