In North Haven, March 24, 2005, Richard B. Gardiner, 87, of 3075 Whitney Ave., Hamden, husband of 50 years to Nelli Ann Woodruff Gardiner, father of Susan A. Parsons of Grand Cayman Island and Richard Gardiner of Baltimore, MD and grandfather of Richard J. and Megan A. Parsons. Richard was born in Wauregan, CT, Aug. 14, 1917 son of the late Byron and Grace Pike Gardiner. He had worked for the International Union of Operating Engineers # 478 for 47 years.
