In Wolfeboro, NH, Feb. 17, 2007, Robert M. Aimes, 64, of Alton, NH and formerly of West Haven, brother of Edward Aimes of Milford, John Aimes of GA and Mary Hart Pekari of Martha's Vineyard. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Robert was born in New Haven, May 19, 1942 a son of the late Peter and Ethel Sherrill Aimes. Mr. Aimes served in the US Army. He had worked as a lineman for S.N.E.T. Co. and also was an oilfield worker traveling extensively throughout the West and Alaska. His hobby was building kayaks and canoes. He was a descendant of Dr. John Aimes of West Haven founder of Aimes Point. Memorial service Friday, June 8 at 1 p.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT-TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave. at Court St., West Haven. Interment of cremains at Oak Grove Cemetery.
