Obituary

Robert 'Bob' B. Cahoon, age 91, of Stamford, passed away on February 8, 2014. Robert was the husband of Rose Cahoon of Stamford. Born in Brockton, MA on July 25, 1922 he was a son of the late George & Blanche Jewel Cahoon. He is survived by his sons, R. Michael Cahoon & his wife Eileen of Denver, CO, William Cahoon & his wife Pam of Wallingford and Steven Cahoon & his wife Nancy of Bethany; his brother Richard Cahoon of Plymouth, MA; 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Robert was predeceased by his first wife Eunice Motte Cahoon and his brother David Cahoon. He was a former longtime resident of Woodbridge before moving to Hamden and recently to Stamford. Robert is a WW II Marine Corps Veteran and a graduate of the University of Maine. He was a sales engineer for the family business in Wallingford, rbc Systems, Inc. A former Boy Scout Leader he was very active in his church, Our Lady of Assumption, he was a past president of their Mens Club. His funeral will leave from BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden on Saturday, Feb. 15th at 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Assumption Church, 75 Center Road, Woodbridge. Friends may also visit with his family at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Interment with Military Honors will take place in Milfordside Cemetery, Woodbridge.
