Obituary

SOUTHINGTON-Robert Crawford Palmer, 89, of 42 Hickory Hill, died Monday, January 8, 2001, at the MidState Medical Center in Meriden. He was the husband of Janet Wesper Palmer. He was born in Brooklyn N. Y. on June 17, 1911 a son of the late John and Emily Morley Palmer. He was a graduate of the University of Toronto and retired as Vice President of the New Jersey Bank in Patterson. Mr. Palmer was a volunteer in the Emergency Room at the Hunterton Medical Center in Rariton, N.J. and was an Elder at the Presbyterian Church in South Orange, N.J. Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Neil Gleason of Plantsville and two grandchildren, Andrew Gleason and Jennifer Gleason both of Plantsville. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Beecher & Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave. , Meriden, CT. If desired, contributions in Mr. Palmer's memory may be made to the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, 555 Long Wharf Drive New Haven, Ct. 06511.
