Robert A. "Bob" Kibbe, 71, passed away peacefully at his home in Bethany on October 25, 2024 surrounded by his family.

Bob was born in New Haven on September 28, 1953 to the late Milo and Charlotte Howd Kibbe. He attended Hill House High School, before graduating from Yale University in 1975. Bob worked for the USPS as a mail carrier, retiring after 36 years. He enjoyed playing darts and was in a dart league at the Playwright.  As an avid gardener, he had a green thumb for vegetables. Bob will also be remembered as a fan of the Yankees and the Giants.

Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 41 years, Lynn Bethke Kibbe; his daughters, Emily Kibbe, and Jaclyn Kibbe and her husband Nick Caporelli; his siblings, Linda Squires, Alanna Kibbe, Joan Kibbe, and Jocelyn Nolt; stepmother, Judy Etkind; his sisters-in-law, Patricia Barnett and Donna Lohman; and niece and nephew, Kim Squires and Michael Squires.

Friends are invited to visit with Bob's family on Wednesday, October 30 ^th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden. A Funeral Service celebrating his life will be held the next day at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by burial in East Lawn Cemetery.
