Robert L. Mack, Sr., age 76, of Meriden, passed away on August 2, 2015. Born in Darlington, SC on April 14, 1939, he was a son of the late Evander Mack & Era Lyd Mack. Robert is survived by his wife, Thelma Wilson Mack; daughters, Laurie Mack of Meriden, Jennell Mack of Middletown & Tammy Dingle of Florida; sons, Robert L. Mack, Jr of Meriden, Michael Mack & his wife Nicole of Griffin, GA & Allen Mack of Meriden; sister Ophelia Dubose of SC; a brother, Terry Mack of GA; in-laws, Leethel, Ethel, Maxine & Willie Joe; 13 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and a host of relatives including aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & cousins. He was also predeceased by his sisters, Sadie & Vivian James and brother Ulysses Mack. Robert lived most of his life in Meriden and was employed for 40 years by Midstate Hospital before his retirement. Friends may visit with his family at Beecher & Bennett - Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave, Meriden on Monday, August 10th from 10:00 - 11:00 AM prior to his funeral service which will begin at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
