In Branford July 22, 2007, Robert E. MacNeill, 73, of West Haven, brother of Barbara Giaquinto of New Haven, Marjorie Howe of West Haven and Edward Chase of New Haven. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mr. MacNeill was predeceased by a sister, Mildred Lipka and three brothers, Walter Chase, Frank and George MacNeill, Jr. Mr. MacNeill was born in New Haven Jan. 22, 1934, a son of the late George Thomas and Anna Patterson Chase MacNeill. Prior to his retirement in 1993, he had been a machine operator for Connecticut Container for 18 years. Funeral arrangements are private and under the direction of BEECHER & BENNETT-TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave., West Haven.
