Robert 'Rocky' Mentillo, age 46, passed away peacefully into the arms of God on October 6, 2009 with the love of his life best friend, wife Elizabeth Reilly Mentillo by his side. Bobby was born in New Haven on July 25, 1963, a son of the late Andrew Mentillo. He was raised in Hamden by his late dear Aunt Lillian Lupo. Besides his wife, Bobby is survived by his loving in-laws Billy & Etta Reilly; his brother Dean Colaiacovo & his wife Christina of Hamden; 3 sisters; 3 brother in-laws; many nieces & nephews, his dog Bella and many friends all that he loved dearly. Rocky worked many years as a security guard at Gateway Terminal. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009 at 10:00 AM in St. John the Baptist Church, New Haven. Interment will be private. There will be a celebration of life gathering immediately following the Mass at the Italian American Club on Columbus Street in Hamden.
