MERIDEN - Robert F. Schumann, 86, formerly of 74 Westerly Terrace, died Friday, June 28, 2002, at Tandem Health Care in Southington. He was the husband of the late Barbara Bunnell Schumann. Born in Meriden on Jan. 15, 1916, he was the son of the late Fred and Emily Wuth Schumann. He was employed as superintendent at International Silver Company. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Center Lodge of Masons, the Shriners and the Elks. He is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Schumann of Meriden; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard S. and Virginia Schumann of New Britain and a brother and his wife, Roger M. and Eleanor Schumann of Berlin. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. The Rev. Perry L. Beaver will officiate. Burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery will be private. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. prior to the services.
