ROBERT TASSI Syracuse-Robert Tassi, 90, husband of the late Anne Cartoceti Tassi, formerly of Hamden, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2004 in Syracuse after a brief illness. He was born in Cavazzo, Italy June 15, 1914 and had resided in Hamden for 45 years before moving to Syracuse in 1999. Prior to WW II he was an engineering captain on an ocean liner, and he later was employed at the High Standard Co. of Hamden as a finisher for 30 years, retiring in 1965. Mr. Tassi is survived by a son Alfred J. Tassi and his wife Dale B. Tassi of Syracuse, NY and 3 grandchildren; Alfred J. Tassi, Jr., Melissa Beth Tassi, and Kevin Robert Tassi. He was predeceased by a sister and a brother. Funeral service will be Monday October 18, at 10 AM at BEECHER & BENNETT 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden. Friends may call prior to the service from 9 AM.
