On Dec. 18, 2007, Robert T. Vaughn, 74, of Island Ln., West Haven passed away peacefully at Milford Hospital. Beloved husband of ChunHua Jiang, cherished father of Robyn E. Vaughn, Roxanne F. Vaughn both of New Haven, Robert Vaughn, Jr., Eric Vaughn both of VA, and Wesley Vaughn of Valhalla, NY, brother of Delia Saunders of Baltimore, MD, Gloria Ashlock of GA, Carolyn Burris and Dorothy Trotter both of Philadelphia and James Vaughn of Uniondale, LI, NY. Also survived by four grandchildren. Robert was born July 15, 1933 a son of the late James and Edith Vaughn. He served in the US Air Force in Korea and worked for the National Security Agency. He attended several major universities including Univ. of PA, Drexel Univ. and Penn State Univ. School of Executive Management Training. During the course of his education he earned a BA in math and MS in computer science and had earned credits towards a Ph.D. in Computer Science. His began his career with Philco Corp. as an electrical draftsman and later worked for over 30 years for IBM Corp. where he held Senior Management positions. After retirement from IBM he established RTV Associates, Inc. which focused on computer applications to solve community needs. Funeral service Sat., Dec. 29, 2007 at 11 a.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT-TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave. at Court St., West Haven. All those who knew him and loved him are welcome to attend the service and/or friends may call Sat. from 10 - 11 a.m. Burial service will be private.
