Rodrique 'Rod' Brown, 78, of West Haven, beloved husband of Yvonne Cespedes Brown, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Yale New Haven Hospital. Rodrique was born in Costa Rica on January 31, 1936. He is pre-deceased by his parents Martin and Myrtle Brown, and son Jaime Brown. Rod was the loving father of Gerardo Brown, Durl-Marie Dicks, Marlene Burns, Inez Brown, and step-children Alvaro, Marlon, Thais, and Sherry Gordon. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rod retired 10 years ago from Bayer, where he worked as a machine operator. His funeral will be held on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 10:30 am, at The Church of the Holy Spirit, 28 Church St., West Haven, Rev. Lisa Hahneman officiating. Friends may call on Monday morning, 9:00-10:00 am at BEECHER & BENNETT-TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave., West Haven.
