Rosa E. Serrano, age 74, of Meriden, passed away on March 13, 2017. Rosa was born in Vega Alta, Puerto Rico on December 30, 1942. She was a longtime resident of Meriden, arriving in 1967. Rosa was the widow of Guillermo Serrano, Sr.; mother of Maria Neilson & her husband Thomas of Hamburg, NY, Emily Pulaski & her husband Eric of Meriden, Jose Antonio Serrano of Meriden, and Guillermo R. Serrano, Jr. & his wife Victoria of Meriden, and sister of Julia Concepcion of Vega Alta, PR. Rosa also leaves 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She retired after many years of employment from Jonal Laboratories. She always would enjoy listening to music and time with her family. Rosa was a member of the Latin American Social Club in Meriden and a parishioner of St. Rose Church. Friends may visit with her family on Friday, March 17th from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at BEECHER & BENNETT - FLATOW FUNERAL HOME, 48 Cook Ave, Meriden with her Prayer Service taking place at 7:00 PM. Interment will be private.
