Rosalie A. FitzGibbon, age 97, of Coachman Square in Woodbridge, passed away on June 16, 2011 in Griffin Hospital. Rosalie was born in New Haven on December 30, 1913, a daughter of the late William & Catherine Keenan FitzGibbon. She was predeceased by her sister, Florence FitzGibbon in 2008. Rosalie grew up in New Haven and lived many years on Austin Street. She retired from Southern New England Telephone Company, working there for over 30 years. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and a longtime parishioner of St Aedan's Church in New Haven. Thank you to the staff of Coachman Square in Woodbridge for the loving care and compassion given to Rosalie for over six years. Her funeral service will be held Monday, June 20 at 11:00 a.m. in BEECHER & BENNETT - TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave., West Haven. Friends may also visit at the funeral home prior to her service from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. Her interment will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park in Hamden.
