Rosalie C. Frey, age 100, of Hamden passed away on May 15, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Frederick C. Frey, Jr. She is survived by her son Frederick Frey, III (Sheila) of Waldorf, MD, her daughter MarieAnn Frey of Alexandria, VA, and her two granddaughters, Dianna M. Frey and Jamie M. Frey, both of Waldorf, MD. Born in New Haven on November 17, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Marie Martino Cuomo. She was predeceased by her sisters, Philomena Burke and Mary DeVito, and brothers, Augustine, Thomas and Ralph Cuomo. Rosalie was retired from the Hamden Board of Education, and was a member of the Hospital of St. Raphael Auxiliary and the New Haven Council of Catholic Women. She was formerly active in the Hamden Women's Club and the New Haveners Women's Club. Her greatest passions were her travels with Fred and the children and her bridge. Rosalie's family would wish to thank Drs. Renu Bazaz-Kapoor and David Hass for all their caring and compassion over her lifetime.
All are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, May 20, 2024, to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul VI Parish/Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 2819 Whitney Ave., Hamden. There will be no calling hours and entombment will be private. Arrangements are in care of Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, Hamden. Contributions in her memory may be made to an organization of your choice.
