Rose P. Pacelli, age 74, of New Haven, formerly of Hamden, passed away on November 9, 2014 in St. Raphael Hospital. Born in New Haven on October 20, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Marco & Concetta Romano Pacelli and sister of the late Lena Gaiolini & Michael M. Pacelli. Rose is survived by her nieces, Deborah Gaiolini of Hamden & Nancy Pacelli of Branford; nephews Michael Pacelli of North Haven & Steven Pacelli of Hamden; sister in-law Beverly Pacelli of Hamden; grand nieces Meredith & Maya Pacelli; grand nephew Gregory Pacelli and life long friends Christine Panzo & Laura McKay both of Hamden. Rose was at one time employed by the former Hamden Whitney Telephone Answering Service, she then worked for many years and retired from the Town of Hamden where she was a dispatcher for the Fire & Police Departments, subsequently she was employed by Southern Conn. State University. Rose enjoyed her many activities with all her friends at Bella Vista. Friends may visit with her family at BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden on Thursday, Nov. 13th from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. During that time her Prayer Service to be held at 7:30 PM in the funeral home. Interment will be private with her family.
