Royse Shirk Usher passed away Sunday November 3, 2002 in CT Hospice Branford. She was born in New Haven, March 3, 1938 a daughter of the late Harry C. and Alice Shirk Usher and had resided in North Haven for 30 years. She graduated from the Day School and attended Vassar College. Royse was an avid tennis player and a former member of the New Haven Lawn Club. As a member of the New Haven Country Club, she enjoyed playing golf and the Serindipity Club. She was a former member of the Spring Glen Garden Club and the Junior League of New Haven. Her association with AA was an accomplishment she was very proud of. She enjoyed playing bridge at the North Haven Senior Center, and was an authority on, and collector of Native American Art. She is survived by her children; Steven Shanley, Troy Maiocco, Royse Isleib, twins Michael Shanley and Dair Neickar, Brian Dahill, and Brenden Dahill, 11 grandchildren, uncle and aunt Jack and Ginny Usher, a brother Steven C. Usher, 3 neices, 1 nephew. She was also survived by her loyal companion Tina. Funeral service will be private. Arrangements in care of BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden.
