MERIDEN - Ruben Ramos, 57, of 71 Catlin St. died Monday, Nov. 13, 2006, at his residence. He was the husband of Gloria Werpechowski Ramos. Born in the Bronx, NY on Sept. 8, 1949, he was the son of Laura Garcia Ramos of Meriden and the late Manuel Ramos. He was an Eagle Scout and served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era. He was a graduate of Teikyo Post College in Waterbury and worked as a computer technician for IBM for twenty-eight years. He was a member of the Amateur Radio Club at the American Legion in Wallingford. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by two daughters, Brandie Hasabella and Ashley Ramos, both of Meriden; four brothers, Roberto Ramos of Meriden, Jose Ramos of Aquada, P.R., Inocensio Ramos and William Ramos, both of Meriden; three sisters, Laura "Maria" Rojas, Rosa Ramos and Brunilda Gomez, all of Meriden; seven grandchildren, Samantha Ramos, Manuel Ramos, Codie Ramos, Collin Ramos, Chaize Ramos, Derek Fluker and Quincy Fluker, all of Meriden; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Carmen Lydia Ramos. The funeral will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. The Rev. Will Marotti will officiate. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
