In Wallingford, Feb. 26, 2006, Rudolph Carl Trutnau of 395 Blatchley Ave., New Haven, CT, husband of Lydia (Lillian) Schillat Trutnau, father of Roberta Trutnau of Middletown, CT, Robert Trutnau of Seattle, WA, Joan (Trutnau) and husband Ward Bysegger of Seattle, WA, Rudolph E. Trutnau and wife Melinda of New Haven, CT; and brother Theodore and Rose Trutnau of Naples, FL, Frederick and Winnie Trutnau of Hamden, CT. and the late Ruth deCastillia of North Haven, CT; and grandfather of Rudy and Katrina Trutnau of New Haven, CT, Daniel Gross, and Ryan and Amy Bysegger of Seattle, WA . Also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews to whom he loved and cherished dearly. Born on July 7, 1922, he was the son of the late Rudolph C. and Louise Hoepfner Trutnau. He attended Stone School for accounting. Rudy was a comptroller having served with the New Haven, V.N.A. and later with the Regional V.N.A., retiring in 1993. An active member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church in New Haven, he was also a member of Hiram Lodge # 1, A.F. & A.M., Wooster Lodge # 79, A.F. & A.M., an Honorary member of Adelphi - Momauguim Lodge # 63, A.F. & A.M., the Scottish Rite, Valley of New Haven, Lafayette Consistory, Pyramid Temple of the Shrine and Alice Chapter of the Eastern Star. Rudy served as a District Deputy Grand Master for the Grand Lodge of Freemasons of Connecticut. A veteran of W.W. II, he served in the U.S. Army Ordinance Corp. as a Staff Sergeant.
