Ruth Kallgren Coleman, 90, Cheshire passed peacefully on Tuesday, February 19, 2008. Wife of the late John Alvin Coleman, survived by daughters Kathy Kenerson/Ed of NY, Ruth Gagliardi/Frank of Raleigh, NC, son Roger Coleman/Sharon of CT, 4 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, brother, Carl Kallgren. Predeceased by two brothers and a great-granddaughter. Born in New Haven , July 9, 1917, daughter of the late John Elmer and Jessica Reemsnyder Kallgren. Lived in Morris Cove, Wallingford and Cheshire from 1974. Graduate of Eastern Nazarene College , Quincy , MA . Taught at South End School in Southington , 26 years. Ruth taught piano, was pianist at Cheshire Baptist, and played at the Cheshire Correctional Center. Funeral Service Sat., Feb. 23 at 11 a.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 WHITNEY AVE. , HAMDEN . Friends may visit with the family from 9-11 a.m. Interment in In Memorium Cemetery , Wallingford.
