Ruth Mildred Hazen, age 87, of West Haven, passed away at the Masonic Healthcare Center on October 26, 2011. Born in Manchester on June 26, 1924 to the late Roy and Mildred Gregg Jones, Sr. Ruth is survived by her daughter Patricia Lavorgna and her son Robert Hazen both of West Haven; grandson, Robert Hazen of Parma, OH; great-grandchildren, Kaleb Hazen and Allessia. Besides her parents, Ruth was predeceased by her brothers Roland K. Jones and Roy P. Jones, Jr. Ruth had been an active member of the First Congregational Church. She was an LPN at Yale- New Haven Hospital before her retirement. Friends may visit with the family on Monday, October 31st from 10 to 11 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of West Haven, One Church Street, West Haven with her funeral service begining at 11:00.
