In Cheshire, May 2, 2002, Ruth Walker Hobson, 89, of Elim Park formerly of Washington Ave., Hamden, wife of the late John S. Hobson. She was born, April 2, 1913 in Keene, NH, a daughter of the late Clayton A. & Grace Watermen Walker. She was an active member of the Mt. Carmel Congregational Church, a member of the Mary Clapp Wooster Chapter of the D.A.R. and of the Alpine Chapter of the Order of Eastern Starr. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John C. and Anne A. Hobson of Woodbury, CT, three grandsons, Todd C. Hobson of Milton, VT, Brett W. Hobson of Cheshire and Scott S. Hobson of Rehoboth, MA and 6 great -grandchildren and a brother Erwin L. Walker of Hernando, FL. She was predeceased by a sister Verna L. Holmes. A memorial service will be held at the Mt. Carmel Congregational Church on Saturday, May 18, 2002 at 1 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt.
