MERIDEN - Ruth Mattie, 84, formerly of 98 Frary Ave., died Friday, Nov. 30, 2001, at Westfield Care and Rehab Center. She was born in Meriden Nov. 1, 1917, the daughter of the late Alfred and Lillian Bilger. She was a member of the Meriden Humane Society. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Lillian and Owen C. Little of Meriden; a daughter-in-law, Joyce Post; five grandchildren, Owen J. Little of Bethany, Connie Russo of South Meriden, Cheryl Walsh of East Hampton, Susan Bylykbashi of Cromwell and John Post, Jr. of New Britain; and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, John Post, Sr.; a sister, Dorothy Barillaro and by her first husband, Henry Post. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. The Rev. Robert Prescott-Ezickson will officiate. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
