Ruth Morris McDonnell of Hamden, CT, wife of the late Robert R. McDonnell, M.D., died on July 25, 2010. Ruth was born August 28, 1924 in Bryn Mawr, PA. to David J. and Alice Hollywood Morris. She is survived by her six daughters, Donna M. Pieron (Thomas) of Chester, CT, Bonnie M. DuBrino of Antrim, NH, Carole M. Doherty (John) of Underhill, VT, Deborah M. Colwell (William) of Cheshire, CT, Patricia M. Clifton (Mark) of Killingworth, CT, Joan M. O'Connor (Joseph) of Loudonville, NY; eighteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother David J. Morris, Jr. (Madeline) of Tampa, FL and predeceased by three sisters, June Morris, Gertrude Weiser and Cecelia Ulsh. The McDonnell family would like to thank her physicians and their medical staff for their care and compassion through the years, as well as the doctors and nursing staff at the Hospital of Saint Raphael.
