Salvatore Forgione, Sr., died Easter Sunday at his home, 28 Pine St., Hamden, husband of the late Evelyn Sullivan Forgions, father of Beverly Prodati of Hamden, Louise Forgione of New Haven, Virginia Forgione of New Haven, Frank Forgione of Shelton, employed by Oyster River Tavern and Salvatore Forgione of New Haven, brother of Ann McMillian of East Haven, Mickey Forgione of Orlando, FL and grandfather of Christina Marie and Sherrie Ann Forgione both of Shelton. She was predeceased by a brother Frank Forgione. He was a corporal in the U.S. Army during WW II. Before his retirement he had worked as a construction worker at Blakeslee Corp. for 17 years. Funeral service Wednesday, April 3 at 11 a.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave. at Court St., West Haven. Friends may call Tuesday (TODAY) from 4 - 8 p.m. Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery.
