Sarina N. Pestone

Sarina N. Pestone, a lifelong resident of Hamden, passed away at the Masonic Healthcare Center in Wallingford on October 23, 2026. Born in Suffern, NY on March 26, 1964, she was the beloved daughter of Anna Marie (Martone) Pestone of Hamden and the late Dominick Pestone. She was a graduate with honors from Hamden High School Class of 1983. Sarina is survived by her sister, Ramona Pestone Moore of Hamden, nephew, Patrick Moore, and beloved dogs, her husky, Anya, and collie, Alex. Besides her father, she is predeceased by her brother-in-law, Thomas Moore.

Sarina was a resident of Hamden for nearly her entire life, until spending the past three years living at Masonicare in Wallingford, where she greatly enjoyed the community life and mingling with the many friends she made while there. She was very proud to work alongside her father in the family business as a Pharmaceutical Technician at Yalesville Pharmacy. Sarina was a great lover of music and enjoyed playing piano and singing. She was an unendingly passionate fan of Barry Manilow’s music, and also enjoyed cheering for the New York Mets with her dad. Sarina's family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to her always dedicated nurse Tammy and the Ramage 4 Nursing team for their exceptionally loving, compassionate, and excellent care that Sarina received living at Masonicare.

Friends and relatives are invited to visit with Sarina’s family on Friday, November 6, 2026 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 noon in St. Paul VI Parish / Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Hamden, followed by interment in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven.
