Blomberg, Sharon Sharon Blomberg, age 64, of West Haven passed away at her residence July 8, 2010. Sharon was born in New Haven on February 24, 1946 to the late Muriel Perry Blomberg and Adolf Blomberg. She is survived by several cousins to cherish her memories. Sharon lived in West Haven all her life. A graduate of Grace-New Haven School of Nursing in 1966, Sharon earned a Bachelor's Degree in liberal studies and a Master's Degree in counselor education from Southern Connecticut State University and had been last employed as a nurse in Student Health at Quinnipiac College in Hamden. A long time lover of music, Sharon was not only a pianist and an organist, but also studied the French horn, and earned a B.A. degree in music from SUNY and a certificate in Arts Management from the American Symphony Orchestra League. She was a musician in several area musical groups and orchestras, including the Hamden Symphony Orchestra and the Southern Connecticut State University Chamber Orchestra. Funeral Service for Sharon will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 7, 2010 at the BEECHER & BENNETT -TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave., West Haven.
