In New Haven, May 23, 2004, Shilpa Raval, 34, of 79 Pearl St., New Haven, wife of Theodore Richard Bromund whom she married June 3, 2000, daughter of Janardan Raval of Jersey City, NJ and the late Usha Raval, sister of Chirag J. Raval, step-daughter of Devika Dhamankar and step-sister of Vijeta Dhamankar all of Jersey City, NJ. She was born in Ahmedabad, India, Aug. 30, 1969 and was a graduate of Drew University where she received her B.A. in 1991 and her Ph.D in Classics from Brown University in RI in 1998. She was an assistant professor of Classics at the University of Missouri - Columbia from 1998 - 2000 and at the time of her death she was an assistant professor in the Dept. of Classics at Yale University.
