Meriden - Shirley Stephens Trostel, 73, formerly of 125 High Hill Rd., died Tues., Oct. 21, 2003 at the Meriden Center. She was the wife of the late Norman Stuart Trostel. She was born in Meriden, Oct. 11, 1930 a daughter of the late William Luvern and Ruth Kandetzke Stephens. She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church and had worked as church secretary and treasurer. She was devoted to her family. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Randy Seeber of Meirden, a son and daughter-in-law, Leigh and Susan Trostel of Cummings, GA, seven grandchildren, Michael Trostel of Lake Worth, FL , Eric Babbitt of Middletown, CT , Christopher Trostel of Pheonix, AZ , Bonnie Trostel of Burbank, CA , Kurt Seeber of Middletown, CT, Dawn Seeber of Meriden, CT and Laura Trostel of Meriden and a daughter-in-law, Maureen Trostel of Meriden. She was predeceased by a son, Craig Norman Trostel and a sister, Evelyn Stephens. Funeral service Sat., Oct. 25 at 11a.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT FLATOW FUNERAL HOME, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. The Rev. Kyle McGee will officiate, burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
