Obituary

Cheshire- Stanley Robertson Krier, 84, beloved husband of 59 years of Lydia Rausch Krier of Elim Park Place passed away Sept. 8, 2008 after a brief illness. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 sons and their spouses: Jonathan and Linda Krier of Wheaton, IL, Donald and Constance Krier of Guilford, CT, and 7 grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister Florence Krier. Mr. Krier was born in Ocean City, NJ July 13, 1924 a son of the late Stanley D. and Florence White Krier and was employed with the Southern New England Telephone Co. for 33 years before his retirement. He served in the US Army as a Master Sergeant during WW II and later in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Valley Community Baptist Church of Avon, Gideon's International, and they had resided in Hamden, Orange, and Southington, before moving to Cheshire in 2004. Friends may visit with his family Thursday, Sept. 11, from 5-8 p.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 WHITNEY AVE., HAMDEN. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday Sept 12, at 11 am in the Nelson Hall at Bethel Place of Elim Park. Contributions in his memory may be sent to the Gideon's International, P.O.
