Obituary

Suk Joon Suh, 74, of New Haven, husband of the late Young Ja Park Suh, passed away on April 3, 2015 after a short illness. Born in Daegu, South Korea on January 4, 1941. He leaves his six daughters, Hye Jong Suh of Branford, Young Joo Suh of New York, Seung Hee Suh of Hudson, NY, Yun Jong Suh of Berkeley, CA, Jong Woo Suh of Brooklyn, NY, and Lily Suh of Mill Valley, CA; three grandsons; four granddaughters; three brothers and four sisters. Suk moved to the US with his wife and daughters in 1980 and has lived in New Haven for the last 20 years. He has been a devout member and actively involved in the New Haven Korean Church. While living in South Korea, Suh was a journalist and continued his career here, most recently writing for the Korea Times. He enjoyed hiking, golfing, and photography. Friends are invited to visit with his family on Saturday, April 11th at The New Haven Korean Church, 42 Glen Parkway, Hamden from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 9:30 a.m. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 1056 Daniels Farm Rd., Trumbull. BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden in care of arrangements.
