Susan J. Alia Petrucelli, 65, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, January 19, 2015. She was born December 5, 1949 in Meriden, CT; a daughter of the late Albert and Ethel (Wahl) Alia. Susan was a dedicated registered nurse working in many hospitals, including, Boston Mass General, UCONN Medical, Peter Bent Brigham Hospital (Brigham and Women's), Arkansas Children's Hospital and retired from Children's Hospital of the Kings Daughters in Virginia. Susan is survived by her longtime companion and husband, Arthur Petrucelli, a brother, John A. (Diane) Alia of Massachusetts, two nieces, Shawnna (Vincenzo) Diano and Arrilynne (Kyle) Alia and four great-nieces and nephews, Cole, Briella, Giuseppe and Zachary, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. A Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 11am at Yalesville Methodist Church, 8 New Place, Wallingford, CT. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends may call at the Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden, CT on Friday, January 23 from 5-7pm.
