Susanna Whitney (Griswald) Kaleck, age 83, of North Haven passed away on January 23, 2023. Born in New Haven on October 27, 1939, she was a daughter of the late A. Whitney Griswald, Sr. (16th President of Yale University) and Mary Brooks Griswald. Susanna is survived by her husband Edward G. Kaleck, her brother A. Whitney Griswald, Jr. of Martha's Vineyard, MA, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Sarah Leahy and Mary Flender. Susanna was a resident of New Haven for most of her life, moving to North Haven 5 years ago. She received her degree from Albertus Magnus College. She was a published poet and accomplished painter, loved to travel, enjoyed music and played the flute. Susanna also loved all animals.
