Theodoros Berdebes, 83, of Vernon, passed away on October 22, 2022 in Hartford Hospital. Born on May 8, 1939 to the late Nikolaos and Sofia Kaliakoudi Berdebes.

He worked on cargo ships traveling all over the world mostly taking care of the nutritional needs of the crew in his earlier years. Theodoros migrated to the US in 1969, where he worked in the restaurant business till retirement at age 67. While working, he lived in Queens and on Long Island before moving to Connecticut 16 years ago to be closer to his family. He was a very loving, caring, unselfish man, and put the needs of others almost always before his. He enjoyed cooking, but his most favorite moments were spending time with his family, whether it was summers in Kefalonia, Greece with his siblings or here with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren.

Theodoros will be lovingly remembered by his three sons, Nikolaos "Nick," Spiros, and Efstathios "Steve" and his wife Laura Berdebes; his grandchildren, Brittany Paulsen, Madison Hotchkiss, Alexis, Spiros Jr., Elias, Maia, Christopher, Athena, and Benjamin Berdebes; and his brothers, Yerasimos and his wife Anna, and Kostandinos Berdebes.

Friends are invited to visit with his family on Thursday, October 27 ^th at BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., followed by his Funeral Service at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
