Thomas James Witt, age 48, of Hamden, CT and Bar Harbor, ME, died peacefully at home in Hamden on April 6, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. Tom is survived by his wife Carolyn Breen Witt. Also grieving are his parents, Jim and Nancy Witt of Cold Spring, NY; his sisters, Karen and her husband Bruce Brothers, and Faith and her husband Jim Quarto; and nieces and nephews Jessica and Christopher Brothers and Nicole, Danny and Sarah Quarto. A graduate of Manhattan College and Pace Law School, Tom had a solo law practice in New Haven. He loved Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor, and was an avid reader, hiker and bicyclist. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service for Tom on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Trinity on the Green Episcopal Church, 212 Temple St., New Haven, CT 06511. His urn internment will be held privately with family.
