Trifomena Cretella, 91, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2011 at Arden House in Hamden. She is survived by her son Anthony F. Cretella of Hamden, 4 grandchildren, Anthony, Trina, Briana and Russell, 3 great-grandchildren, Anthony, Michael and Vincent, a brother Louis Ruocco of Hamden and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Mrs. Cretella was born in New Haven July 27, 1920, a daughter of the late Anthony and Lucy Ruocco and resided in Hamden since 1953. She worked as a waitress at Howard Johnson's Restaurant until retirement and was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and later Blessed Sacrament Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 WHITNEY AVE, HAMDEN Friday, November 25 at 10:30 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church, at 11 am. Friends may visit with the family Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 am in the funeral home. Interment in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven.
