Tynesha Denise McKnight, 29, of Fort Campbell, KY passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 6, 2016. She was born in New Haven on August 6, 1987 daughter of Anthony Smith and Deborah McKnight. Tynesha had spent the last 10 years in the US Army honorably serving her country and was a Staff Sergeant stationed in Fort Campbell. Along with her parents, Tynesha is survived by her grandmother, Claretha McKnight; her daughter Shamya Denise Spruce; sisters Ices Vaughn and Clarice McKnight; brothers Antwon McKnight and Delreece Smith. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a wide range of friends. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Tynesha's family on Saturday, August 13, 2016 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM in the Varick Memorial AME Zion Church, 242 Dixwell Ave., New Haven. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM. Entombment with Military Honors will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park, New Haven.
