Northford-Valentin William Schanz, 76, "Bill", "Billy", husband of June O'Neill Schanz for 53 years, passed away in St. Raphael Hospital, May 23, 2005. He was born in New Haven March 3, 1929 a son of the late Valentin and Gertrude Gaul Schanz and resided in Northford since 1931. Mr. Schanz operated the Schanz Farm for many years until 1969, and was a CT Licensed Milk Tester. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating. In addition to his wife he is survived by 2 daughters; Eve Denise Schanz and Valerie Lyn Schanz both of Northford, 2 grandchildren; Crystal Julia Schanz and Christian James Schanz,. and a great granddaughter Isabella Amber Schanz. He was predeceased by a son Neil William Schanz. Funeral service and burial will be private. Arrangements in care of BEECHER & BENNETT 2300 Whitney Ave. Hamden.
