BOYNTON BEACH, FL - Veleda Mary Gallagher, 92, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007 in Boynton Beach, FL. She was the wife of the late Lenwood C. Gallagher. Born in Caribou, Maine on June 29, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Adelaide Adams Fitzsimmons. She had been a resident of Middletown until retiring to Florida twenty-five years go. She was a member of the Boynton Beach Congregational Church. She is survived by a daughter, Patricia A. Fowler of Boynton Beach; a son, Dale L. Gallagher and his wife, Janet of Meriden;18 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Philip L. Gallagher; two daughters, Janice E. McKenna and Norma R. Mozier; two sisters, Velma Cochran and Eva Katley; and a brother, Bernard Fitzsimmons. The funeral will be held Thursday, Dec. 20, at 11 a.m. at the Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.
