Vera A. Moore, age 93, of North Haven passed away Saturday, July 28, 2012 at her home. Vera was the widow of William Burgan, her first husband and James W. Moore her second husband. She was the mother of Katherine Moore of Longmont, CO, Michael Moore of Ramona, CA, Rosellen Moore of New Haven, CT and the late Patricia Ferri & her husband Daniel and Gerald Moore. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren. Vera was born in Brooklyn, NY on July 30, 1918 a daughter of the late Joseph & Rosann Brillo Kane. She was predeceased by her siblings, Lillian Apicella & James, Arthur & Gerald Kane. Vera was a purchasing agent for Quinnipiac University before her retirement; she was a member & past president of the Mt. Carmel Art Association, a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and a member of their choir for many years. Vera had been a resident of North Haven since 1955. Friends may attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Whitney Ave., Hamden and may visit with her family on Wednesday, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM in BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Her interment will be private.
