Obituary

Meriden-Vincent H. Slater, 86, of 80 Hanover St. died Tuesday, February 13 at the Meriden Care and Rehab Center. He was the husband of the late Emma Ada Panciera Slater. He was born in Meriden September 7, 1915 a son of the late Morris and Gertrude Arnold Slater. He served in the U. S. Army during WWII. He worked as a stockman at the AMF Cuno Company for thirty years. He was a parishoner of St. Rose Church. He is survived by a lovingly devoted friend Marge Kunz and her daughter Margaret V. Kunz of Meriden, two daughters Karen Herb of Southington, Cynthia Riccardelli of Bristol, a son Keith Slater of Wallingford, a granddaughter Jenny Herb of Southington, a cousin Earl Slater of Meriden. He was predeceased by a cousin Francis Slater. The funeral will be held Saturday, February 17 at 9 am at Beecher & Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden and at 10 am at St. Rose of Lima Church. Burial will be at Walnut Grove. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. Contributions may be made to the Central Connecticut Dialysis Center, 377 Research Parkway Meriden, CT or to the MidState Visiting Nurse Association, 658 Broad St., Meriden, CT
