In Westfield Care Center, Meriden, Virginia Beardsley Bloomingdale, 89, formerly of 25 Bridle Path Trail, Killingworth, died one day before her 90th birthday, wife of Walter Bloomingdale. Born in New Haven, Nov. 4, 1912, a daughter of the late Daniel and Dorothy Somers Beardsley. She had worked as a telephone operator for SNET Co.and was a member of the Rainbow Girls. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Virginia Rioux of Meriden; two sisters, Dorothy Munson of Hamden and Lorraine Kinsella of Hamden; a brother, Frederick Beardsley of Florida; two grandchildren, John Stagni of East Haddam and Lisa Russo of Middletown and two great-grandchildren, Fallon Russo of Middletown and Leanna Stagni of East Haddam. Funeral service will be Wed., Nov. 6 at 11 a.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral.
