Virginia Hope Delano, 81, wife of the late Salvatore Delano, entered into eternal rest, Friday April 11, 2003, at the Cresent Manor in Waterbury. She was born in Portland, Maine, on January 3, 1922, daughter of the late Charles Edward and Madeline Lombard Quinby. She was employed at the Dorau-Calza Hair Spring Company for ten years prior to retirement. She is survived by her daughter, Lona Hart of Meriden four grandchildren, Scott Genest and his wife Mitchele of Durham,Virginia Fitzgerald and her husband Geoffrey, Chet Hart, Deana Maloney and Robin Hart all of Meriden, five great grandchildren Joshua Genest, Ryan Genest both of Durham, Zachary Hart, Brooke Fitzgerald and Lauren Fitzgerald all of Meriden a sister, Edith LaMay of Bennington, VT. She was predeceased by a brother, James Richard Quimby. Friends may call at BEECHER & BENNETT FLATOW FUNERAL HOME, 48 Cook Ave. Meriden, Wednesday April 16th from 5 - 8 p.m. Burial will be private.
