North Haven-William Henry Holland. 75, loving husband of Barbara Pauk Holland of Sunset Rd., passed away suddenly Feb. 6, 2004. He was born in Saybrook, CT, June 21, 1928 a son of the late George and Anna Marie Lambertus Holland and had lived in North Haven since 1969. Mr. Holland was employed at the First National Stores as a meat cutter for 42 years before retirement in 1990. He served in the US Army as a sargeant during the Korean Conflict. Bill was a member of the Sleeping Giant Men's Golf Assoc. and enjoyed golf, trout fishing in the Housatonic River and he was a master wood craftsman. In addition to his wife he is survived by his sons, Paul Louis Merwin, and his wife Marianne, of North Haven, Michael Lawrence Merwin, and his wife Sandra, of Charlotte, NC, and William Peter Holland of North Haven, his six grandchildren, Kathleen, Melissa & Michele Merwin of North Haven, Luke, and Christopher & John Merwin of Charlotte, NC. Mr. Holland is also survived by his life long friends John & Margaret Taylor of Milford. He was predeceased by three brothers, Howard Jackle, George Jackle and Samuel Holland. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2004 at 11 a.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. Burial with military honors in Mt.
