William 'Ed' Kuehlewind, Jr. of 150 Cook Hill Rd., Cheshire, passed away peacefully January 29, 2008. He was the husband of Ethel E.Hasfurter Kuehlewind; father of Richard E. (wife Linda) Kuehlewind of Wallingford, Kenneth E. (wife Sharon) Kuehlewind of Cheshire & William R. (wife Donna) Kuehlewind of Harleysville, PA; brother of Grace Muffoletto of Darien Center, NY, Pearl Johnson & Don Peters both of New Port Richey, FL. Ed also leaves 11 grandchildren & 2 great granddaughters. Born in Cheektowaga , NY on Sept. 12, 1921, he was the son of the late William E. & Gertrude Haller Kuehlewind Sr. Ed was a retired Chemical Engineer for Humphrey Chemical Co. of North Haven. Prior to that he was involved in research for American Cyanamid & Olin Corp. Before he resided in Cheshire, Ed was a resident of North Haven, CT and Western New York. He was in fellowship with West Woods Bible Chapel, a member of the Missionary Committee and Christian Service Brigade leader. Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 10 AM in BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden Friends may also call at the funeral home Friday from 6 to 8 PM. Burial will take place in Hillside Cemetery, Cheshire.
