WILLIAM J. McLean William J. McLean of Hamden died at CT. Hospice on July 20, 2002. He was the loving and devoted husband of Jennie S. McLean and is survived by his children, Suzette and Brian and predeceased by a son Sean. He is also survived by his loving step-children, Leonard Matteo, Jr. and his wife Catherine, of Hamden, Gerald E. Matteo of Santa Barbara, CA, Jill Robinson and her husband William of Hamden and Stephen Matteo and his wife Tina of Palm Bay, FL and all his loving grandchildren. He also leaves two brothers, John McLean of Guilford, Robert McLean of FL, a sister, Mary Ellen Landino of Branford, along with his loving nieces and nephews. Mr. McLean was born on Jan. 27, 1934 a son of the late John and Philomena Bontatibus McLean formerly of Branford and was employed as a real estate agent. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of the Hamden B.P.O.E. Lodge #2224. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, Tuesday, July 23 at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church at 10 a.m. Burial in All Saints Cemetery will be private.
